Episode 11. In this episode of the Free Software Podcast, we introduce the fifth freedom. That is the freedom to access your data stored in web applications and to migrate to your own instance of a network application without degrading your experience(i.e. losing touch with friends). We also go over where to find free software and note that infections in non-free operating systems can present an opportunity for free software adoption.
Where to find free software:
Sourceforge.net, Freshmeat.net
Savannah.gnu.org, directory.fsf.org
Google code, github, and your favorite search engines are also options!

Increased infections in proprietary operating systems may help free software adoption. At best, proprietary software can be completely replaced, and if that's not possible, free software applications can be installed. Finally, installation of a free operating system as a future fall-back or as dual boot may also be a good strategy.
